Ideal Client, Target Market and Niche

Nowadays online business is much more famous to the young generation than other business models. As more and more people get involved in this business, the number of different types of online business is constantly increasing. For example, selling various products to customers through online shops, serving clients through freelancing business, etc. Those who have researched online business on the internet or who are already involved with it, have definitely heard about Target Market, Niche, Ideal Client at least once in their life. Although these are very simple terms, many, especially those who are newbies, cannot find out the difference between them. So in today's article I will discuss the three terms Ideal Client, Target Market and Niche so that everyone can understand the basic difference.

What is meant by ideal client?

The term Ideal Client is related to Target Market and Niche. So I'm talking about it at the beginning. Ideal clients are those esteemed clients of a business who purchase their products or services from that business at multiple times. These clients are also called loyal clients because not only do they repeatedly purchase the product or service, but they also recommend others to take them. Working with ideal clients makes communication much easier and it is possible to get paid at your expected rate. Therefore, it can be said that the role of these clients is much more important to make any business successful.

What is the target market?

One of the things that most people think about is how to define online business or freelancing businesses, how to define clients, how to reach them and sell products or services. The term target market, however, is related to defining these customers or clients.

More and more customers are needed to generate profit by increasing sales in a business. Properly doing business marketing is what you need to get. However, in this case, the fact is that in order to get more customers, if you try to target all the people around you, then you will see that hard work and time is being spent, but nothing is being done. That is why it is mandatory for every business to have a specific target market.

Now let's find out what is meant by this target market. In very simple Bengali, target market refers to those people by whom you will run the marketing campaign of your business. It is possible to define who the ideal client is through target marketing.

Then you must understand that when target marketing, marketing is done with the focus only on a certain group of people, excluding those who are not potential clients of a business. People in this particular group somehow feel interested in the product or service provided by that business and if they feel attracted then they move on to purchase later.

For example,

If a graphic designer wants to start his own freelancing business, he needs to target and market to people who need a variety of graphic design content. For example, those who are digital marketers, bloggers, youtubers or e-commerce sellers always need different graphic design content, such as logos, magazine covers, banners, images to post on social media, Pinterest PIN, etc. So, the kind of people that a graphic designer should target marketing in front of them as a target audience.

It can be said that target market is the initial point of defining who is the ideal client in one's business. If you can identify the target audience, that is, who will implement your marketing strategy by targeting, then you will see who the ideal client will understand.

What is a niche?

Business experts call Nish a subset of the target market. Nish is to narrow down one's target market in such a way that it is possible to reach the target audience more effectively. In other words, niche is defining the two sectors in which you are doing business, as well as who you are specifically providing services for, so that it becomes easy to reach out to potential clients.

Many people think that online based businesses, especially the popular freelancing businesses of today, do not need to select a niche, but the more services you can offer your clients, the better. But that is not the case in reality. Because when clients go to work without selecting a niche, that is, without defining what kind of services they will offer to clients, it is not possible to market effectively with a focus on the target audience. So it is safe to say that in order to be marketable, you need to be able to focus on your business. Besides, experts always emphasize on making niche selection if you want to be successful in business in the long run.

I have already said that when selecting a niche, the target market i.e. the target audience is narrowed down. Ideal clients are specifically targeted during niche selection. At the same time, it also mentions what skill a businessman or freelancer is focusing on. And yes, the skill of focus is exactly what kind of service you are providing to your clients.

So let's not know some practical examples of Nish now. Some examples of niches for a graphic designer might be designing social media posts for social media managers, designing their business brand logos for e-commerce sellers, designing book covers for bloggers, designing invitation cards for travel agencies, and more. Again, in the case of a video editor, editing YouTube videos can be a nightmare. There are many people who are involved in writing, for them it can be a nightmare for university students to do academic writing, blogging for bloggers' websites and so on.

Surely everyone understands how to select the niche. However, in this case, two things should be known. The first is that you can focus on multiple categories of clients by selecting a skill of focus. For example, if you want a graphic designer, you can simultaneously offer services as a digital agency owner and brand designer for online coaches. At the same time, if you want, you can select more than one skill of focus and offer services to specific type of clients as ideal clients. For example, if you want a graphic designer, you can offer logo design and social media post design services for e-commerce business owners. The point here is to either keep a skill of focus or focus on specific types of clients. By no means do I want to convey that I recommend for the mother to be in the category of multiple skills of focus and multiple categories.

That was today's discussion on the concept of ideal client, target market and niche. Today I have tried to discuss these three terms in great detail so that everyone can find out the difference between the three. Lastly, I would like to tell everyone that if you want to be successful in any sector, you should always try to know all the details about that sector. You will see that by doing this you will increase your knowledge and at the same time you will go a long way towards becoming successful.
